The government's  action plan for combating racism and promoting equality contains a variety of measures to improve the social climate and relations between population groups, raise awareness of challenges and solutions and combat racism and discrimination, especially in working life and education. 

The plan focuses especially on the actions of the public administration and on ensuring that the requirement to promote equality under the Non-Discrimination Act is fulfilled. 

Along with central government, this work requires the involvement of local actors. Extensive cooperation with civil society will also play a key role throughout the plan’s implementation.
